2012
- October 24: The Bird Conservation Alliance held its 2012 meeting at Patuxent, Maryland, in conjunction with the American Bird Conservancy’s Roundtable on Migratory Bird Conservation. Presentations by Peter Marra of Smithsonian, Arvind Panjabi of Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory, and Mauricio De La Maza of Pronatura Northeast.
- August 14-18: North American Ornithological Conference, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Keynote plenary by Peter Marra highlighting migratory connectivity.
- July: ICARUS planning meeting, Max Planck Institute for Ornithology, Germany. Susan Haig and Peter Marra present the Migratory Connectivity Project.

2011
- October: Susan Haig presents USGS lecture and webinar on the Migratory Connectivity Project.
- September: Pete Marra presents keynote lecture on the seasonal interactions and migratory connectivity at the annual meeting of the New Hampshire Audubon Society.
- August: Peter Marra and Susan Haig receive funds from USGS Wildlife Program and the USFWS Great Lakes LCC to examine avian species vulnerability to climate change as a result to threats to their migratory connectivity.
- July: IUCN invites Susan Haig and Peter Marra to develop an IUCN Migratory Connectivity Task Force.
- May-June: Susan Haig taught a course on Animal Movements and Migratory Connectivity to graduate students, agency representatives, NGOs, and staff at the National Museum of Kenya in Nairobi.
- June: Peter Marra gives an invited symposium presentation on Migratory Connectivity and Seasonal Interactions in Sweden.

2010
- April: The Scientific Committee for the Migratory Connectivity Project meets in Vancouver, Washington, to outline goals and objectives.
- February: The Executive Committee of the Migratory Connectivity Project meets to discuss overal approach to the project.
