The EOU unites ornithologists from all over Europe. It was established in 1997 during the first meeting of European Ornithologists in Bologna, Italy.
The objectives of the EOU are the advancement of ornithology and the promotion of the scientific study of birds within Europe. Membership is open to everyone, no matter where you are in the world you are welcome to join.
The next main conference, EOU2015 will be in Badajoz, Spain in August 2015.
